Well that's another Christmas wrapped up (or technically unwrapped if I were being festively correct). The Garrett's, Turni's and company had a great day unwrapping presents, drinking, eating rich food, and enjoying al the good things that Christmas brings.
This year Santa (aka Lisa) brought me an awesome gift - a ride for myself and two others in a choice of two vintage cars in the country. Knowing my love of cars, Lisa picked a brilliant gift, and I can hardly wait to find a fine day to take the ride. All I need do now is find another person interested in the trip with Lisa and myself.
Lisa likes the new Canon SD600 digital camera I brought for her. Now she need not have to borrow mine, and maybe I'll feature in some of the family pictures instead of being behind the camera
. Eventually I'll get around to blogging a daily picture - the whole reason I purchased my compact in the first place.
Simon and Bella opened more presents than I can count, and both of them would like me to pass on their thanks to everyone who sent them a gift (Simon would like to thank his Grandma and Grandad in England for the John Deere DVD and Bella is thrilled with her new duck). The highlight gifts of day were a monster truck that Nonno brought for Simon and a shopping cart, which came with food boxes and a bar code scanner, for Bella from Santa.
Christmas dinner consisted of a leg of lamb (slurp) and a host of side dishes - I'd like to thank Lisa for the wonderful job she did on the cooking, and for Nonno and Nanna for helping out. Tina and I provided dessert - cookies and cake, and we were delighted to welcome guests - Shelby, Nathan and Celia, who also brought some delightful desserts with them (and I was afraid that we'd have no sweets).
Well, that's it for another year, now I am looking forward to New Year's Eve - we usually host a big party, I think we are again this year.
