Garretts' World

Happenings in the world of the Garretts'

Congrats - you made it!

Congratulations, if you are reading this post then you have managed to stay with me during my recent decision to no longer post personal information on the font page and blogs aggregate list of my site.  As the note on the home page indicates, I have decided to go with a “technical theme” for my web site.  My techie posts attract many readers and help to secure my career in the software engineering industry.

All said and done, I cannot ignore those readers who come to my site to find out what the family and I have been up to lately, and it was time I answered those complaints about no personal posts.  Just as techies do not want to read the specifics of my weekend in their feed (unless it involved a conference), my friends, and family, do not want to wade through a large number of gibberish posts to find out about one of the kids birthday parties - hence the decision to separate the two audiences.

In case you are wondering, I shall not be reactivating the photo album, and most of the posts in Garretts’ World will remain ambiguous to those who do not know my family or me personally (you cannot be too safe these days).  So, all of you who fed up with reading about Microsoft blah wanting to know more about family events – this is for you.
