Happenings in the world of the Garretts'

A thought for those in London

My thoughts are with all the victims and families affected by today's terrorist attacks in London.

When I logged on today I had received an email from my Brother, who had manage to dodge the bombings on the London Underground and Bus system during rush hour this morning.  Steve works in Euston, nearby to the Kings Cross / Russell Square bombing - he tells me that London is currently in chaos.

I imagine it must be pandemonium in London right now. The underground and bus systems have been shut down, and British Rail have shut down some of their services into the capital. I'm wondering how Steve will get home. On the radio I heard reports that people are walking out of the city.

It scares me to think that I used to work every day in London, and I used the King's Cross/Russell Square line often. The office of one of the jobs I held was at Edgemore Lane.

God speed to all those involved in today's upset.
