After a long week of work it was time to begin a packed weekend (by
weekend I count Friday as the start).
Friday was a cool day, I went down
to Virginia to meet with some colleagues from
Assisted Solutions.
These guys write some awesome software and have released
Gift Wrap Plus-
management software for donation related information, as well as a
number of ASP.NET web components. Paul Waldschmidt, partner and
co-founder of ASI, showed me some neat software he'd been working on
with his chief developer,
Chris Hynes.
Saturday morning - my first meeting with the
Saddle Gals & Guys
drill team. The drill team perform at Howard County, Montgomery County
and Damascus agricultural fairs in Maryland, as well as a number of parades. This
year I hope to join them, riding either Western or English saddle. Many
thanks to my neighbor, John Wood, for getting me involved in the team,
and thanks in advance to both John and Kim McDaniel for arranging a
stead for me in the team.
Saturday afternoon - I was literally toast, so crashed for 4 hours this
afternoon. Tomorrow I'm hoping to take down all the Christmas
decorations, change the oil in the car and catch up on errands before
Monday.
