Simon got to see Santa this weekend. The local fire department were hosting “Meet Santa” in Clarksburg, so we bundled Simon up in his warmest of clothes and drive over on Friday evening to see the big man in red. We're not sure if Simon was curious about the big red costume that Fireman Santa was wearing or if he was figuring out a way to pull Santa's white beard

A lot of back breaking work for Dad this weekend. Firstly, our local Home Depot called to tell us the tile flooring we ordered had arrived, and we could collect it. I was surprised at how heavy 40 boxes of porcelain floor tile really was, and was further surprised when I managed to load all of it into a 4-wheel drive Subaru Forester. The suspension was looking dangerously low, but the car managed to get me and all the tile home in one piece.
We got hit by gale force winds on Wednesday, which pulled down one of the trees at the font of our property. I purchased my first chain saw and made light work of the fallen debris this weekend. While I was at it, I cleared fallen leaves and gave the lawn a final mow before Winter sets in. No more tractor until Spring
